Within the Corporate Theater, you may stumble over new terms every day. Some are provider-specific but a large number of terms have been established as a general industry-specific jargon. At the Good Vibrations Theater, we use a very broad definition of Corporate Theater.
Corporate Theater is any form of live presentation of scenes used by a company to achieve company objectives. Most other providers are much more restrictive in this regard and limit the term to the application range Personnel development. Historically certainly correct and today still the application range number one – but there is more. The other terms are listed in alphabetical order and, of course, exist in various spellings.
Action Theater is occasionally used when employees act themselves.
Business Theater is usually used as a synonym for Corporate Theater. For the Good Vibrations Theater, it has a more restricted meaning and designates theater for customers.
Forum Theater: An established scene presented by actors is continued improvised according to audience specifications.
Improvisation Theater: An independent form of theater, in which the audience calling out creates the presentation spontaneously. The Corporate Theater sometimes uses improvisatory elements but Improvisation Theater cannot be put on one level with the Corporate Theater.
Interaction Theater is a synonym for Forum Theater.
